Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is played from a third-person perspective. It includes elements commonly found in platform games. The player assumes control of Nathan Drake, who is physically adept and is able to jump, sprint, climb, swim, scale narrow ledges and wall-faces to get between points, swing with a rope, use a grappling hook and perform other acrobatic actions. Drake can use various firearms such as assault rifles, pistols and grenades to kill enemies. Stealth elements are incorporated into the game, allowing the player to sneak behind enemies and kill them without being noticed. The melee combat system was reworked to avoid the presence of quick time events, and Drake can now control vehicles directly.

The Division is structured with elements of role-playing games, as well as collaborative and player versus player online multiplayer.

There are side missions where the player will be called off to carry out tasks like assassinating a high-ranking KPA general or steal a KPA drone. Another new feature introduced is the enhanced ability to modify weapons such as adding a fore-grip or a sight in the middle of a firefight or to convert a rifle to a Light Machine Gun and vice-versa. Philadelphia is split into three districts. The Green Zone is the affluent area where at the center of the city the KPA is at its strongest, they are also where the invaders are at their most comfortable: they have running water, a stable power supply, and their fortifications make green zones one of the safest places in the city.

Other weapons such as her pistol, shotgun, assault rifle and climbing axe make a return, plus an added hunting knife for melee or sneak attacks, a breather, and she can use a lock pick to open locked crates and doors.

Part of the Far Cry series, it is the first game set in the Stone Age. It revolves around the story of Takkar, who starts off as an unarmed hunter and rises to become the leader of a tribe.
As the game is set in pre-historic times, the traditional gunplay and vehicle gameplay featured in the Far Cry series were removed, and players can only get access to melee weapons like spears, clubs, axes, and ranged weapons like bows and slings. Players cannot purchase weapons, and must craft them using the materials scavenged in the world such as wood and stone. As players progress, they can craft more lethal weapons with a larger variety of resources. Besides facing natural predators, players must also get contest with other hostile tribes occupying the area. By attacking and seizing bonfires and camps, the Wenja tribe will move in and begin patrolling the nearby region, and the player will gain fast travel points as well as camps to rest in. Non-player characters (NPCs) will also task the player to rescue tribemates and perform other tasks which improve the village, as well as provided free crafting materials. The game also features a day-night cycle, which will affect gameplay.At night, more predators are present, and many become more aggressive and dangerous. Players can make use of fire as a tool for personal protection or hunting at night.

The use of levels and linear gameplay found in the first Mirror’s Edge has been replaced with an open-world, free-roaming environment. This gives players more freedom in traversal, allowing for the use of multiple paths to reach one’s objective. In addition to the campaign’s mission, side activities such as time trials, races and environmental puzzles are featured. Additionally, items called Gridleaks can be found across the world that can be collected by players.
